Energising fitness in the water
We first began our aquagym program in 2020 when we offered classes through the Université populaire d'Entremont. It proved to be a popular choice, and we continue to offer it every year.

Aquagym is an energising form of exercise that combines muscle strengthening and cardio training in the swimming pool. Thanks to the effects of buoyancy, the body is lighter, which significantly reduces impact on the joints and makes it a very low-risk form of exercise.
Yet, due to the resistance provided by the water, it offers an intense workout that is good for body toning, lymphatic drainage, and blood circulation, and of course wellbeing, at any age.
Using a small selection of workout materials and music to motivate you, our instructors design classes that are as challenging as you choose and lots of fun. No experience is needed to join our classes.


ADULT SWIMMING
Improve your technique, grow your fitness
We firmly believe that you're never too old to learn to swim or to learn to swim better. With a good, sustainable technique, swimming provides a full body workout that is easy on the joints.
Regular swimming is known to reduce stress and improve mood. And swimming is for everyone, including those with arthritis and limited mobility. If you're recovering from an injury, swimming is one of the best forms of exercise you can do.
Our club's mission is to provide adult swimming classes for people aged 18 years and up, with all levels of ability. Our classes are designed to improve your technique, grow your fitness, and above all, ensure your time in the water is positive and energising.
OPEN WATER SWIM
Swim without limits
Our open water club is open to anyone who is interested in exploring swimming beyond the swimming pool. It’s for those who like the freedom of open water in the surroundings of nature. Our primary swimming location is la Gouille des Vernays which is situated on the limits of Le Châble. We share access to the water with the fishermen of the region therefore as members there are a number of rules and agreements that we must respect.
The club is open to members from 18 years and above and the membership renews automatically every year. Swimming is unsupervised and we ask that our members take adequate safety measures while swimming (such as using a safety buoy). Swimming is allowed only on weekdays from 06:00 to 10:00, 12:00 to 13:00, and 18:00 to 20:00. Weekends and public holidays are reserved for the fishermen.
The water quality of the gouille is tested twice a year and the test results are published on our website. Our members must agree to swim only if the water is deemed safe. For the full list of rules that must be signed in order to join the open water swim group, please see here (link to rules).

Swimming and aquagym are highly adaptable, with intensity easily adjusted to suit beginners, athletes, seniors, pregnant women, and those recovering from injury.

Choose the class that matches your level. Both run during the winter season from January to April, with 14 lessons per season.
